Call for Papers

Rethinking Economic Anthropology:

A Human-Centred Approach

11-12^th Jan 2008

London School of Economics

The second day of the conference consists of two thematic workshops within each of the three core topics. Papers, of approximately 15 minutes, are invited. Possible workshop themes may include:

Topic 1:

Debt

Money, magic and gambling

Topic 2:

The periphery in the core: post-industrial blight

Poverty

Topic 3:

Informal economies of the 21^st century

Corporate Social Responsibility

Ethical economies.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 15th September 2007.  Notification of accepted papers will be emailed to authors by 15^th October 2007. Full papers must be submitted by 15^th December.
